Lodging Léon HEBINGER - Eguisheim
|
Welcome to Eguisheim ! Eguisheim nestles in the foothills of the Vosges, in the shadow of its landmark Three Castles. Its vineyards have flourished since Roman times, and the town is proud to be known as "the cradle of Alsace wine". The streets, wrapped snail-like around its church, form twin concentric circles of ramparts, lined with colourful timber-framed houses whose roofs rise and fall like an accordion. It was here that Pope St. Leo IX was born in 1002. Remarkably well conserved, Eguisheim has artfully preserved its half-timbered houses and oriel windows. Their history is further enhanced by floral decoration that has been rewarded with a 4-star rating in the French nationwide assessment. You will be spellbound by the Medieval charm of Eguisheim ! It is within this framework that we propose the rentals to you of an apartment (Les Roses) and of two furnished (Les Pâquerettes et les Violettes), all three located in the old ramparts of the city, from where you will benefit from an impregnable sight on the Vosges and the Alsatian vineyard. Good visit! |
